The History Department of the University of California, Riverside invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the history of the Middle East, any period since the founding of Islam, specialization open. The PhD is required. Teaching commitment/experience and strong research programs/records required. The successful candidate will be expected to integrate Middle Eastern history into the department's graduate fields in world history as well as teach survey, upper division, and graduate courses in the field of specialization. UCR is one of the fastest growing campuses of the UC system with over 18,000 students and has one of the most diverse student populations in the nation.
